An unforgettable fishing in Storuman, Sweden
Sweden's Storuman municipality is one of the last wilderness areas in Europe. Fishing in the north of Sweden is extremely unique and varied all year round.
Among others, the rivers and lakes of the Storuman Municipality hold the following fish species: arctic char (up to 6.0 kg), rainbow trout (5.0 - 6.0 kg, record 12 kg), brown trout (up to 7.0 kg), whitefish (4.0 - 5.0 kg), perch (1.5 - 2.0 kg), grayling (1.5 - 1.8) and pike (up to 15 kg).
Summer fishing starts at the end of April and lasts until the end of November. The most popular summer fishing activities in northern Sweden are spinning, fly fishing, and trolling. Winter ice fishing in Storuman starts in December and runs through early May. You will love fishing for winter grayling (up to 1.5 kg), perch (up to 1.5 kg) and pike.
